Called up in the morning as my boiler wasn't working. Despite the engineers van being broken into, he still said he would come out as my 1 year old was in the house.The engineer Lee turned up on time and was a very genuine guy, very helpful and happy to answer any questions about the system.Even though he was unable to fix the problem on the visit to provide heating, he left and returned with some electric heaters for the house free of charge!Turns out I may need a new heating system too which I'll gladly get installed through this company!

I would highly recommend Heatsy to anyone looking for a boiler service. Lee arrived promptly and carried out a thorough inspection of our boiler. He recommended a few problems that needed fixing (new flue, magnetic filter and system flush etc).I then rescheduled an appointment with Heatsy to carry out the recommended work. How long should a boiler service take?

The time it takes to service a boiler properly will vary dramatically depending on what type of boiler you have, the age of the boiler, and the abilities of the engineer servicing your boiler. A modern condensing boiler with no faults and everything working correctly could be appropriately serviced in 45 minutes. If it needs to be taken apart, seals changed and lots of adjustments it will usually take around 90 - 120 minutes. An old back boiler behind the fire could take a couple of hours if it’s in particularly bad condition.

How much should a boiler service cost?

The average in the UK is between £80-120, but prices can vary from £50-180. So it’s worth considering what you’re getting. Some cheaper services might be little more than a safety inspection, while some at the higher end will include seal replacements and water analysis.

Is it worth getting a boiler service?

In short, yes! Many people are sceptical when it comes to the importance of an annual boiler service. Maybe they’ve had a contract with a large national company, and the engineer has been in and out in 10 minutes, or perhaps they see the engineer standing in front of the boiler, and it doesn’t look like he’s doing much.
